Location: Theodore, AL, just south of I-10 and 1 mile from Mobile Bay, barely 8b Location Details

A friend from work saw this bamboo at his hunting camp. He said the culms are about 3" diameter about 50' tall. I'm thinking Vivax or Japanese Timber, not sure about the gold colored older culms. What is it?

Location: Island off Cape Cod Massacusetts
Vivax would be my guess. The older culms will be yellower on many green bamboos, especially if soil nutrition level is low.
