Mike said this was Henon, but I told him I didn't think Henon blackened up at all. Arching culms and complete leaf loss = nigra? It's growing in mostly shade.

Here's my guess, but you'll have to wait for them to shoot before getting a better ID.

#1 Phyllostachys makinoi

#2 Psuedosasa japonica

#3 Phyllostachys nigra

Looks like your winter wasn't too bad based on these pictures. Did he say you could take everything? Would you be willing to spare me a piece of the makinoi?

Perhaps Pseudosasa viridula for the second one. How many branches per node?

I'll guess Phyllostachys nigra 'Bory' based on the 'brown" color found on the culms.
