a friend let me dig up some ryz. they were 11/2"-2" culms green and 25' tall. he called it golden bamboo? i havent noticed any golden about it. but here it is ImageImage

Hard to tel from your pics but it looks like a good ID- aurea has a slight swelling below the node, easy to spot in Roy's posted pic a little harder in yours but you can see a faint swelling :D

It doesn't really yellow up though, unless it's the 'Holochrysa' form :wink:

my friends grove is probably 20'x15' and as green as my lawn and its in the sun, southern exposure? i havent found anything that matches the description yet.but then i havent done a ton of res. either
