Sorry about that....the preview looked good, not sure why it was blank.

This grove is growing 30 miles south of St. Louis. The owner planted it 10 years ago from a single potting. I'll get pics of shoots when they emerge...thanks for any help. Rick

Looks to be Arundinaria Gigantea.
I think I saw this on a different web site... I believ there were some guesses of Pleio. Simonii as well.

My guess is Arundinaria Gigantea though.

Wow, that's really bushy. How tall is it?

Where is that (what town)? I was getting ready to type "Yellow Groove" before the photos loaded, since that seems to be all anybody has around here.

Thanks for the input above and any comming in later. Brad I like the "for sure" part as I only want to grow known species. Now can you tell me what stocks to buy? ;)

I'll still try to get some shoot shots when the time is right and will post.

rmk3392- Very well presented for ID. A. gigantea. International funds should do well as the dollar continues its decline. Buy mutual funds invested in S&P 500. We are in the "buy low" portion of the fundamental investment formula. "Buy low. Sell high."

Looks like a semi A of some kind. Did not know gigantica was so nice, I have sone S A Fatuosa verdes, much less developed, but has similar growth and branching habits. If that is gigantea, I want some.

Yes, I hear Bamboo futures are hot right now....solid foundations and value ready to shoot up....unless we enter a squirrel market. Then I might have to ask for a Pumpmaster 760 bailout. Considering my long term goals (and aim) it might be easier to shovel some out into an offshore account this weekend!

Back in the day I was a dead shot with my pumpmaster 760 with a 22 scope on it. I would sit out by my aviary and pluck the field mice off as they emerged from their hole. I think my record was like 6 or 7 in one night. Now days kids just play video games in my day the carnage was real.

Haha. I don't really bother the animals as long as they don't bother me, r my plants.

But when they DO bother the plants (which also bother me) things can get ugly! lol

I have me a nice Pumpmaster 760 if I need to get the buggers at long range. The scope isn't set right anymore (something came loose) so I have to set it back before I can REALLY get some long range shots.

Until then, I either use, my Daisy C02 powered hand-BB gun or the pumpmaster w/o a scope.

Luckily, I haven't had to shoot any squirrels lately :)...guess i scared 'em all off after last years madness.
