I'm a complete novice but that looks like 'Decora' to me. Good to see a nice portrait of Mike. Tell him he shouldn't be so camera shy. :P

Brad, I couldn't see it either until I copied & pasted the URL of the photo into the browser. (You can get the URL by right-clicking on the photo and choosing Properties. Look at the bottom of the list for the URL.) Once I viewed the photo then I clicked Back and then it appears on this page too. Don't really know why that works but it does.

How about also Phyllostachys Violascens or Phyllostachys Prominens?

Cheers,

The problem with this plant was that the culms are really rough, more like an aureosulta which led to the confusion. The lable dose indeed say Decora, so a good call Thuja. (BTW its still small having only just been planted)

Many Thanks.

PS- Mike always seems to find a way of geting in a pic, never looks at the camera though

Here he is spoiling the view of a nice Vivax H- inversa

Hope you can see the pic this time.

Thuja,

My browser does the same thing as you descriped above. If I switch browsers, then the picture doesn' appear and I have to do something siimiliar to what you described (Mac G4, OS X) in that browser, then the picture appears.

I spent a little time trying to figure out why, when one clicks back, then the picture appears. If you close your browser, reopen your browser, go to preferences in your browser and "empty" your "Cache", close and reopen your browser, then the picture is not visible.

So my best judgement as to why you can when you click back you can see the image? It is being retained by in your "Cache" memory.

Why the image doesn't appear immediately without having to load the image in another page, I have no idea. I'll leave that up to Bill.
