Hi there, I've a question which I hope the good people here can shed light on.
I have bamboo multiplex Golden Goddess in my garden. I have been removing leaves from lower parts of the canes to show the beautiful canes of the bamboo. Problem is, the leaves keeps growing back so this is a on-going task to keep the lower canes clean of leaves. Is there a way to make the leaves gone permanently? Many thanks..

Not sure I've got the picture correct but it sounds like you wish to expose the lower canes, I do this on most of my bamboo by limbing up - cut the entire branch off up to the height you want. Sometimes the Bambusa species will resprout and need to be re-pruned though.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I’ve to keep on removing the lower branches. I’ve the bamboo running across the entire length of my fence and they keep re-sprouting...so that’s a lot to do! I’ve attached a photo on a portion of the bamboo Thanks!!
