I am interested in adding Phyllostachys sp tip top to my collection but can’t find much about it apart from this “Still to be identified (probably P. hispida or P. varioriculata). Moderately running. Delicate and very dense foliage. It is the densest of the genus Phyllostachys.” Anyone of you good people growing it any information would be much appreciated

I have both Phy hispida and Phy varioauriculata so perhaps I have it? If it were Phy hispida I think it would be easy to know that, hispida looks like a Fargesia - very shrubby and arching for a few years mine has blackish purple culms right now.

I have both as well. Mine are still small and went in the ground last fall. They are both shooting now but I really cant offer much info unfortunately.
