We got two inches of rain last week, but that still leaves us 8-10 inches short of "normal" rain fall, and still officially in drought.

Still find myself hoping the hurricanes don't hook out to the east over the Atlantic, like they have been doing lately. I really should be happy they are going away, but I'm still envious of the rain.

One has to wonder why these two F. murielae (and all the other Fargesias) look so good despite the drought. By coincidence these two plants are the first two seedlings we gave away and turns out they are the two best ones.

In the first pic the bamboo referred to is the big one at the rear, there are two small siblings in front of it that were treated with colchicine as seed with roots protruding.

18c & sunny, now 22c and 24 tomorrow - summer not autumn here.
