Luckily, we don't have mice...just those darn chipmunks dropping acorns in my waterfalls and ponds. We have neighborhood cats all over so hopefully they will do predator patrol.Last spring, in my bamboo grove I saw a mother cat and kittens and the remains of a bird and chipmunk.
These cats are brazen because they know my dog can't jump the fence which is where they escape . A few years back I had an owl in my backyard who seemed to do "patrol" pretty good. Too bad he didn't stick around too long. You guys got 'SNOW' already. YIKES...

Not only do we have snow, but the temps out this morning were 12 degrees F . Suppose to drop to single digits tonight. :(

We're supposed to get 12*F tonight. You guys scared me, I'm going to spread some more mulch. I guess I have more to worry about than mice. I'm hoping not to get Hoosier's 100 mph wind. Jeez!

I hear ya. To my chagrin my thermometer read 4*F this AM. I got caught with my plants down. I could already see signs of damage early this morning. On the other hand there are some pretty sights too.

Believe it or not we're still waiting for our first frost. It has been close to freezing the last few days because it's been dry with no clouds each evening to keep the temps up. The Borinda albocera has a very late rogue shoot that's still growing each day. It's hard to beat west coast weather! Sorry guys...... :)
