After the shoots..
Shanghai 3 went from a 3 foot culm to this in a few months
But Phy primontina did better, the tip is up out of the photo, this had has been remaining small in the pot for more than 2 years and finally!
Pl maculatus is a very fine bamboo, I wish I could get it in ground.
Bambusa mutabilis with a tiny new shoot
I dug one hunk of sod and have 3 species in the pot, Shibataea lancifolia, Pl akebono, and Pl kongosanensis
Kumquats are fun to snack on

Looking good. I have a bunch in pots too. I bet it's killing you too not having a place to plant them. My Potted prominens is putting up some way bigger shoots than I expected. Wish I had a spot in the ground for it and my Shanghai 3. Going to be some years before that happens. Have to buy a house with some land, or maybe buy an extra lot or something.

I'm envious of your palm tree in the background.

Not very wise on my part, living in a drought and having to water along with 2 years in pots and then what next? Either we buy and settle in CA or move back to HI in which case Cooper 12 will get lots of very large pots of bamboo.
Did you see this Jason, you'll need a bigger truck!
