I have some Rufa plants that are going on 4 years old. They were divisions from 2 years back. I really thought they would sized themselves up by now, but I don't think I have any past 2' tall. Is there any logic in thinning the existing culms to get them to size up? Am I being too impatient?
Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Steve - I don't think you need worry about 'Rufa', it's just matter if time. I'd bet it goes crazy this year. I got my first in 2000 from Kimmei and it sulked in a pot for a year, planted in the ground it exploded the next year and by year 2 or 3 had well over 100 culms.

You might be right... I took a peak under some of my plants and I discovered a dozen or more shoots poking through the ground! And they look sizable. Hope this is the year.
