Dear Bamboo Fans,

I have these 3 species planted from seeds. F. Songmingensis is a well grown bomboo for me, I started to plant it in january in interior. The growing was very slow and hard, but one month ago I put it outside, because of very high temperatures (35C / 96F). It was a miracle, All bamboo started to grow very very fast, F. Songmingensis looks like this now:





Dendrocalamus Tibeticus started to grow too, one stronger shoot is comming out:



And this is one year old plant of Bambusa Moso (planted from seed). Now some branches are cca 2,5 m long. I have 2 pieces of B. Moso, one is this on a photo and second is on my cottage. I don't have a photos of the second plant, but I will take some. The second plant is located on a mountain of W/N Slovakia and the temperatures were around -20 C / -8 F.

I can't find Dendrocalamus tibeticus on the list, but it must be cool to start them from seed; I'll try in the future. For me it's incredible to see the size up from a rhizome planting.

I Bought D. Tibeticus from South Africa. It's amazing to see, how it grows, it has a big leaves from the start But very amazing is B. Moso and Fargesia Songmingensis. I gues it will grow fast and stron in a few days...
