Fargesia robusta -impressive shoot-

Post by KPC »

I could not keep back the picture of this impressiv shoot.
It's really Fargesia robusta. The owner is a friend of mine in the Netherlands.
It's planted about 6 years ago and the hight now is nearly 4,5m.

KPC, What zone is your buddy in? Full sun? I still haven't prepared my bed so I can still go back to my first choice of Fargesia robusta instead of the shorter Rufa that the local grower suggested.

I guess that's why it's called "robusta"!

What would be more impressive, is if that was the fingers of Paul bunyan by that 'robusta' shoot. 8)

Hello Wayne64

Sorry, late answer.
It's zone 7b and sun 3/4 of the day.
