Current temperature is showing 12 F but I am betting it is around 8 or lower. I suspect that my outdoor thermometer reads a little high. Last year my low was 5 F and my rubromarginata lost all of its leaves so I will have to check it out today and see if there is any damage.

YIKES!!! The big storm rolling through the country is supposed to dip all the way down here. Forecasts went from lows of 44 to a revised low for tomorrow morning of 39. Should be back up in the 60's during the day.

I hope it doesn't get any colder than that.

It is 73* right now, but by noon it is supposed to be 55*, and then drop to 31* overnight :cussing:

Edit: I did a screen capture of the forcast for today. I am not amused (notice the average low is 47*)...

6F here this morning. Not good, nor not bad. Not that I could not change it, but not that I will.

I was walking in my yard and whoa!, what did I see, a strange creature walking up to me
I said please don't eat me or harm my boo, well he made it clear to me he was looking for a CAT! so I left him to do it.

One of our cats disappeared two nights ago. I started thinking about Alf alot lately. I walked outside last night and saw something. Was 'Alf' back to get another cat? I quickly ran in the house and hid under the bed. In the morning I awoke with a bamboo branch in my hands and our last remaining cats in the room with me. How did they get in the house? I had alot questions that would never be answered. I could only claim that the bamboo had made me lucky, not to lose the last two to Alf. When in doubt, always carry bamboo for good luck.

Is that 'LUCKY BAMBOO' you carry?

A lot of weird things are blamed on poor Alf.
Maybe thats why he retired.

Well, last night it got the coldest it has ever gotten at my house (been recording temps for 5 years). My thermometer is at the base of my D. minor 'Amoenus'... 25*. Luckily It doesn't look like I lost anything.

Hopefully that was the worst of the cold. It is only supposed to get in the mid-30's for the next four nights, and then be back up to the mid-40's for lows by the middle of next week.

It was O*F this morning. Some of the more southern folk on this forum like pretending how bad and tough they are by using Celsius. So when they say it is 2 degrees outside, they are using Celsius.
