Shame. I was looking at the map and figured it could be driven in under 10 hours. If I had another driver we could drive down there, help for a could of hours, dig some plants and be back, all in one day. One person could eat and sleep while the other drove to save time.

They did offer to let folks who had planned on helping, then digging their own, to make arrangements to still dig their own with advance notice - today!

I did that when I went to Brad's last time and it was only 5 hrs one way. I will not do that again. Something about 3+ hours of digging bamboo makes your body want to sleep in the evening, even when it's your turn to drive. :sleepy1:

There's a simple solution for that. Stop by a Starbucks and order a half a dozen or so, shots of expresso. While they really charge you for the first shot, additional shots are about 39 cents each if you buy them all at once.

Turkish coffee is also an excellent substitute.

But then I'd probably have to add time on for an emergency room visit somewhere. :bounce:

Hey, it's not like you're drinking a full dozen shots all at once. For that matter, there is nothing wrong with sipping the half dozen shots of expresso in a leizurely manner. Besides, that way you can judge if you need more.

:bigsmurf: SMURF FACT: In the first book, Les Schtroumpfs Noir, a Smurf is infected by a disease that turns him black, non-verbal and agressive. He’s then compelled to spread it through biting.
The story ends with a small band of survivors forced to do battle with a wave of infected descending upon them.
AKA: the modern zombie apocalypse scenario, and one that predates Romero’s by a good nine years!

We now return you to tonights movie OLD YELLER II: THE RESURRECTION, already in progress.

would that be a melding of the classic tale, with a Steven King twist?
