Each year the ABS determines the electoral number for the coming year, at the November 2007 meeting the number for 2008 was set to 50. The electoral number refers to the number of members in good standing that a chapter must have in order to have a chapter representative seat on the national board.

With the electoral number set to 50 members, my home chapter - Mid-States Chapter or MSC - became eligible for a new director seat. At a meeting on 1/5/7 the chapter elected a new board representative who will serve on the national board. Our own FoxD was elected! FoxD is now a member of the ABS board as the MSC representative.


Congrats Dan and I look forward to serving on the board with you this year, and we now have 3 board members who are active on this forum (Bill Hollenback is #3).

I assume you meant 1/5/8. I had to point that out because it was pointed out to me that I had the wrong year on a couple of events in the PNW events calendar yesterday.
