WILD ABOUT BAMBOO FESTIVAL
Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4, 2006

CALL FOR VENDORS

BALTIMORE, MD -- The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore invites landscapers,
nurseries, artisans, crafters, furniture builders, weavers, musicians and
anyone working with bamboo to display, sell, and demonstrate their wares at
the first Bamboo Festival. The Bamboo Festival will be held on Saturday
June 3 and Sunday June 4, 2006 in the Waterfowl Lake Pavilion Area of the
Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Booth Costs:

Established Commercial Vendors: $150 for the weekend - includes 1, 8' table
and 2 chairs
Artisan Crafter Vendors: $ 75 for the weekend - includes 1, 8' table and 2
chairs
Non-profit Organizations: $ 40 for the weekend - includes 1, 8' table and 2
chairs

Location:

Waterfowl Pavilion and Boat Lake area inside the Zoo.

I didn't see this until I posted on your other thread, too. Bill's on top of things.

To add: If you are a vendor and would like to have a booth at the bamboo festival, please contact me before you contact the zoo. The NEC has just been told that any vendors we invite will not be charged the vendor fee (in the above flier). You will only be asked for a donation of 15% of your net proceeds from sales at the event. That will go to funding NEC's activities and services. It's one of the few ways we have to raise funds for the chapter.

Also, we are looking for donations of bamboo, bamboo craft items, books and any other bamboo paraphernalia for our fundraising auction, which will be held near the bamboo festival location during our meeting. Again, proceeds go to funding NEC.
