I recently took some divisions off my Rufa and discovered I had a small section of rhizome left over with no attached culm or roots. I planted it in a small plastic cup with potting soil. The soil covering it washed off after I watered it, so it is half buried. I decided not to worry about this because I noticed the Ruga rhizomes tend to half-emerge from the soil anyway.

After one week there appears to be some changes in the rhizome. Could be growth. Could be its dying. I haven't decided yet.

I know stevelau1911 reported success with propagating Rufa is a similar way and I thought it might be nice to know how easily this works.
