Latest Bamboo map

Post by bambooweb »

I have been on the road a lot so I have been playing with this in the evenings.

You can move the map around to see locations in other countries

The next steps are a rating system for your bamboos in your climate and a filter so you an search for a species.

Go to the user control panel and under profile edit your location and you will show up.

Anybody else think the image used for bamboo on the map is too hard to see? What about just using a nice green dot? Something bold, because the current image gets lost in the "clutter" of the map.

I have added a white highlight around the image now. I could make it whiter than it is now. You might have to refresh your cache to get the new picture (Control-F5 on PC).
I plan on having other icons on the map in the future so I would like to keep the plant image.

New Map.

Try selecting a bamboo and watch the map.

I am still updating the location code but most of it works as before. I still have to update the view topic page to show the location button again.

Any way to seperate out the people who want a particular bamboo from the people who have it?
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Dan, thanks for pointing that out. I had thought I filtered the plants to people growing the plant either in ground or in pots. I did get the filter back in. After I get the ranking finished I will add some more filters that users can select.

I still think a different icon is needed. It works fine when you're zoomed way out and the map has no detail, but can you find the bamboo icons in the attached image? It's really tough.
