Oh! don't know if this is connected to any other problems, but if you try to find sources through the photos you get the database errors... click Photos->Bamboo Photos-> <any bamboo> -> <any photo> -> sources -> error!

dudley,

You've got the same problem I have:

http://www.bambooweb.info/bb/viewtopic. ... 539#p34539

I trying to resolve mine. Just spent 4K on a new computer system with wider 24 inch monitor. Hopefully it will work good enough my wife can still see the things I can't adjust in size.

The search box in red is distracting. I keep thinking there's a problem. Or I have new messages.

Actually, that would be a good place for red: the "new messages" notification. It's pretty hard to notice right now. I think others must think so too, because I've got some messages sitting in my outbox for people that post on the forum a lot (so I'm thinking they don't notice they have new messages).

Red search is gone! (Thanks!)

When I click the "Spell Check" button, I get a message saying that the script only works with these browsers: Opera 6+, IE 4+, etc. I'm using Opera 9.62.

Where's my beautiful "RED"!

I smell a downgrade coming.

I'm just so used to doing my own spell checking, with a click of a mouse, I even forgot we had a spell checker at one time. Of course, on my spell checker dictionary I haven't added any bamboo names in addition to the words already in the standard file.

If you get a chance, send me a PM so I can see if I get a red flashing number showing I have a message.

UPDATE:

No flashing red light  , but I did get a "pop up" notice when I went to the forum. The "pop up" saying I had a message.

And I like that  I can put an  emoticons anywhere I want to by  clicking at the spot I want it and :x not have to move :santa: it from after the last piece of text.

BTW: Don't worry about the emoticons in the above. I was just "pleasuring" myself.

Tip: turn off pop-up blocker or you'll never see the "new message" pop-up. I never would have know they existed!

I have pop-up blocker checked on Firefox and I don't get pop-ups unless I make the site an exception and I did for Bambooweb.info and this is what I'm getting:

Yep. Same for me with Opera -- had to allow pop-ups on bambooweb.info.

Oh, and I also had to turn on the pop-ups in my forum settings too. Maybe we should start a new topic with "forum usage tips", and people can mention their favorite features that others may not know about (like me with the pop-ups).

I know I can increase the text size, but not everything can be increased in size. Plus, when I increase the text size, then I'm back to my old problem that my FAQ, Search, Members, User Control Panel, then become unusable again. (Clicking on the text on each one does nothing. Like it's a graphic with no hyper-link)

In the new software is there a way to change the number of posts per page? I've looked all through the User Control Panel, and can't find it anywhere.

Unfortunately there are no mods to do it in the new software. It is on my list of things to add along with the custom photo resize.
The new software caches pages so they load faster but that works against customizing based on user.
