define "sticky"

bill or brad please define what a "sticky" thread means when used before on left of a post?

if you are meaning the letter from Chris S. in the Bamboo ID area.....

the admin (Bill) has the ability to make a posting "Sticky". It stays at the top of a category until he (Bill) wants to remove it. We don't have the capability of making something "Sticky".

then i feel its miss-named.....i can see that term used in conjuntction on a contaveral subject more
