If you edit your profiles you can create a list of bamboos that you have and have it linked to your posts. Settings are included to list plants you have to trade and plants that you want. I will be adding more information later.

Note If you use an older browser you might have to upgrade in order to add plants to your list. I have tested it with IE6, IE7, and Firefox 2.0. The page should tell you if your browser needs to be updated.

Neat! I used Firefox 1.5.0.9 and it worked. I got an error message when I first went to add plants in my profile, but I was able to add plants and from my end it shows up at the bottom of my posts and when I click on "plants" my plant list comes up.

I just thought Bill was talking about his new bamboo pants.

Maybe instead of what car do we drive, we could all share our pant sizes to see if there may be a bamboo correlation there as well.

We would find out that some people on this forum don't wear pants.

I like it! Would be nice to be able to enter date obtained/planted. Would also be nice to be able to list 'Planted, Bit the Dust, For trade, and Wanted' seperately.

I can't seem to find any place to enter the info on my profile.

Don't feel bad I looked for several minutes before I found it. On 'Profile' screen, bottom of preferences list, look to rt., click on 'Plants'

Just add one plant in the Profile section, then you can add or edit your list from the forum without going back to your Profile section. See my first plant on my list.

Click on profile in the menu at the top of the screen. You should see the plants button right before the avatar section. Remember to click Yes to have it displayed.

This is great! Thanks for all the work that has gone into upgrading this site. I had all my bamboos crammed into my "interests" panel and this new area is very useful and informative. It definitely helps those of us who are not that comfortable creating our own home page for a place to show which bamboos we have. Eric
