A cool pic from my recent trip to Beautiful Bamboo (more on my blog). That's a Bambusa Lako culm he's on. Are these guys pests or just visitors?

You can tell this lizard had recently shed its tail out of danger.

Typical lizard escape move - they shed their tail when grabbed or threatened, and that detached tail will wiggle while the lizard escapes. Smart move, but it'll take them a while to regrow that fat tail.

They also keep it while there's plenty of food and eat it when there's not enough food around.

Welcome to the forum Roberto. I think others would particularly like to hear of your experience with bamboos out there in Idaho.
