http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sWtAELoa2Q&feature=relatedSo, yesterday I read about this new invasion for the first time. They come from China and eat kudzu and soybean leaves. Wisteria and other ornamental legumes were mentioned as a target. But I watched another video on youtube where the lady had them all over her sweet gum and her fig tree. I find it interesting, but scary at the same time. Its bad news for soybean farmers for sure. But has helped reduce the spread of kudzu, which is good. I just wonder how many plants that they will attack? I especially wonder if bamboo is a target since the bug has evolved in China?
