Re: bamboo pests
How bad are the lubber grasshoppers there? How much damage do they do? Luckily we don't have a problem with those here.

Re: bamboo pests
I hate them. They don't eat my bamboo leaves, but love my crinum lilies and it's a constant battle with them until about mid-Summer when supposedly the higher rain and humidity causes more viruses/bacteria (?) that reduces their population. By mid-Summer they are huge.Alan_L wrote:How bad are the lubber grasshoppers there? How much damage do they do? Luckily we don't have a problem with those here.

Re: bamboo pests
maybe you can train the second bamboo pest to eat the first one, thus eliminating two issues at once... the energy of a terrier, and hoppers eating your boo! of course, the way terriers chew, you wont really have to worry much about the hoppers.....

I have trained a cat to hunt squirrels with me, but never did any dog training other than "sicum Max!"ghmerrill wrote:maybe you can train the second bamboo pest to eat the first one, thus eliminating two issues at once... the energy of a terrier, and hoppers eating your boo! of course, the way terriers chew, you wont really have to worry much about the hoppers.....

I like their looks too. Especially after I have body slammed them to the ground and stomped on them!Bamboo Outlaw wrote:We get a few of those around here, not many. I really like their looks.

Hey Steve,
you might want to check your state laws about shooting squirrels out of season/without a license, before posting incriminating evidence online
you would be suprised how bent out of shape some people take things like that, when to most of us, they are rodents to be exterminated!
