Acephate?

Post by ocimum_nate »

Has anyone tried the systemic pesticide acephate on bamboo? Any damage to the plant? How effective was the control? Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I have used it on ornamental trees with great results. Unless someone has tried and failed I may try it on a few Phyllostachys seedlings just to see what happens.

From Robert S. site:
haven't used Orthene (acephate) but reports indicate that it is also an effective control. A .773# can of Orthene makes 150 gallons. Obviously, take measures to prevent getting any of this stuff on your skin or in your lungs.
