P Aurea beaten by gale force winds
recently we had a gale force wind blew for 36 straight hours, blowing dirt from the cliffs. The bamboo suffered what appears to be wind burn. Much of it appeared to be older growth that was probably due to fall. Anything I can do or just ride it out? I was going to wait till fall to take out old culms, or should I do some now? thanks for the thoughts! I am hoping for some new culms, I do have a 2 footer but only 2 other ones trying to get going. Anyone in Western Washington growing any P. Aurea, how is your new shoots doing at this time?

Leaves probably got pretty shredded by the cold wind, but if temp was not low, the boos will likely live.
The refoliating will cost the plant some energy, so may not grow as much this year as it would have if not damaged.
Edit, this thread should be merged with Op's other one.
