Chusquea gigantea flowering

I've 2 stands of C. gigantea - one was a division from the other - and both are flowering. Every culm, every branch, absolutely full of flowers. They've been in the ground for about 7-8 years and are approx 25ft tall.

I'm about 15 miles north of Manchester, UK

Anyone else in the same boat?

Everything has been slow to start this year but I checked a local clump in the neighborhood this morning and noticed a profusion of flowers.

Well fudge. I just planted gigantea 2 years ago!

Oh well. Nothing I can do about it if they do flower. Haven't noticed anything yet, but things are just starting to grow here.
