This is one of my favourite bamboos (Phyllostachys Bambusoides 'Castillonis' ) and even the shoots are my favourite, be nice to know other people's favourite shoots and a picture to go with it

I lifted and split my Spectabilis in early Spring and it shrugged it off by producing 10ft+ culms. It had only been in the ground a year but the root bowl must had been 3ft across. This is a plant for the impatient. I believe your Castillonis will be slower to mature but it has one of the richest culms of any yellow bamboo.
