Guadua

Post by spiros123 »

I went to Columbia and got the chance to see some very big bamboos...
mostly Guadua grow best at elevations 500m-1500m (~1500ft-4500ft).
There were also a few Asiatic species (the clumpers). Guadua is a forest species
that grows in a open plan, although I was told there are many species within
the Genus (don't remember exactly but something like 40? or 100?).
