Location: American Fork, Utah High Desert, elevation 4566 feet, zone 5 or 6 depending on which source.
If it smells like Fargesia rufa I would stay away from it....Incense Bamboo might be nice

Yes, but "incense bamboo" doesn't smell like bamboo -- it smells like "incense". :)

Then again, I don't expect the bamboo scent to smell like bamboo either...
