Culm rust

Does anyone know about culm rust? Any photos or identifications tips? Please reply if you have had experience with this disease and how to treat it.

No, I am saying that I don't know what this was caused by and that I am wondering what it is. From pics online the only thing it resembles is culm rust BUT then again there is almost NO pics showing bamboo diseases on the internet. Whatever it is does not scrape off. It could even be slug damage when the shoots were coming up, I have no idea, need help! Plant doesn't seem affected in any way other than the appearance.

I dont know what to tell you except dont let it get air born. If you read that short note on Lances link it says that it travels by wind. ...humm it dosent come off?? So its acually part of the plant/shoots? Could you post some pictures? That would help. Good luck none the less. :? -Eastlandia
