Hi,
I haven't heard reports of iridescens flowering but there might be the possibility that it is violascens or some praecox form, of which the latter has been flowering.
In any case potted phyllos can get stressed more and occasionally respond by going into flower, so if only one of his plants is doing it I would only be moderately concerned.

My iridescens are definitely not flowering here. Nor are my violascens. The only species I have flowering here is Phy. glauca 'Yunzhu', which has been flowering now for 4 years, but is still alive. No new shoots this year though.
Happy trails...
