Caucasian Wingnuts

Post by foxd »

Anybody growing Pterocarya fraxinifolia, commonly known as Caucasian Wingnut Tree? If so, do you have any seeds or seedlings for trade?
Southern Indiana.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Anybody at all? This is a real tree! Honest! I'm not joking! Do a Google search if you don't believe me! Lawyer Nursery has it on their seed availability list!

The maple tree in the front yard is getting rather sickly , so I will soon have to replace it and I rather like the idea of having a Caucasian Wingnut standing in the front yard.

Sounds interesting, but I'll pass. Missouri Botanical Gardens says:

"Needs a large space. Best for parks or large commercial plantings. Suckering habit may temper use in residential lawns."
