Those are about 4-5' tall? Are you saying that it looks worse during the summer?

They like a lot of water otherwise they don't look so good!

I should check to see how tall the ones I have are, the last I looked they were in that range, possibly larger.

I recall mowing them down last summer as they looked crappy - not drought related, I don't think.

Mine has never done anything exciting. Maybe too much shade, not for lack of water. So I move a little piece to a sunny place along the pond, and something I think ate it, muskrat or goose, not sure. So will have to divide it again and try to get it started in more spots.
