Thalia Red stem

Post by Steve in France »

Do any of you guys grow a Thalia geniculata with stems as red as this one in the pic?

I think it would look great growing in a pond with my Ph. Vivax .H. Inversa behind it.
Thanks

One this same vein:

I like the idea of a planting border surrounding a grove. I am thinking of surrounding either a Robert Young or viax a. (big yellow culms!) grove with some sun tolerant camellias. My idea was to keep the camelias pruned to 2-3 feet all around the grove.

The idea came to me when I stuck a division of RY behind some camelias for protection. Voila, the big yellow culms behind the dark green leaves and pink/red winter flowers, WOW!

I am going to be airlayering 30 or so of my existing camellias this spring whilst the boo is sizing up
