Re: How Does One Differentiate Between Tecta and Appalachiana
Sounds like Appalachiana to me. From what i know, Appalachiana usally stays small, (around 1-3 feet), and that is usually when it is in a nice shaded, area in the woods, but when exposed to more sunlight, it grows taller. Tecta from what i understand is a little less spaced, and bigger.

I willcopy and paste the error message into here tomorrow, because I'm on my phone so there is no copy and paste....

Re: RE: Why isn't fargesia nitida shooting yet?
young plants sometimes take a year or two to settle into a proper pattern for shooting. Some nurseries keep bamboos in greenhouses part of the year to allow for a longer growth period, so it may be late in the year... as an example, I got a P. nigra Megurochiku from a nursery, and although it was a...

RE: What is the best medium to grow moso seeds?
I just transplanted a bunch of Moso seeds from paper towel into soil yesterday. I'm using a 50-50 perlite/miracle gro potting soil mixture. The last few batches of seedlings seemed to LOVE this. I think 82°F. is good for them. You dont wanna go to high or it will become to warm and humid, and they d...
