Blue heron is my archenemy right now which has been trying to fishnap my Japanese koi. The wabbits use to be but a FENCE has taken care of them.

Hope that Phyllostachys Nuda Rutgers clone stands up to a "real winter"....
In 5 years you'll have a grove of 1 inch culms covering a 20ft by 20ft area hopefully. :wink:

I have seen a pretty nice size grove of the Kwangsiensis and it is unlike any Phyllostachys I have seen. You have to plant it near a path to truly appreciate the culms. I agree with you John. I just want to produce about a 1/2dozen plants of each and just give them to a few very selective collectors. Most of the consumers who purchase plants could care less about the journey to get the plants brought into cultivation and the rich history associated with the plants....
